Man, where do I start! I am beyond blown away with how great this company is! I heard about them 5 years ago when I imported a couple of my own vehicles. Coming from someone who's imported multiple cars, it was beyond refreshing to know that Japanese Classics will do all the required paperwork for you. Not only that, they make sure the vehicles pass the strict Virginia Safety inspection. I found a 2000 Land Cruiser being offered at a decent price and after the initial phone call I believe with Dan, I had my heart set on it. I was unable to fly down from Washington to test drive the vehicle, but they were able to schedule me for a virtual walk-through of it which included a road map of things they've noticed on the car. After I purchased it, the shipping from Virginia to Washington only took a week (it even arrived before Christmas!) and let me say, the vehicle was exactly how I imagined it and more. I drove it around and I honestly don't know how its 25 years old. It felt like i was driving something off a showroom floor. If anyone has been on the fence about pulling the trigger, take my testimony as fuel to buy your dream car. You will NOT regret it!

Had a great experience at Japanese Classics. I was looking for a manual RHD sedan for a while and found the Altezza at their shop. From initial email contact to follow up calls, Dan was super responsive and transparent about the entire process. Made the drive from NC to VA and Dan gave my wife and I a tour of their showroom, which had some amazing cars. I went on a test drive and the car handled great, they pulled the car onto a lift so that I can inspect the undercarriage and allowed me all the time I needed for a thorough inspection. Dan was also able to point out everything they did and all the blemishes, exactly as they described on their listing. I would highly recommend Dan and Japanese Classics to anyone looking for an import. Will definitely come back to them in the future for my next vehicle.
I had an excellent experience with Japanese Classics from start to finish. They were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, which made me feel confident purchasing a 20-year-old vehicle. They were very clear that if anything comes up down the road, they are willing to help however they can, which speaks volumes about their integrity.
The buying process was refreshingly straightforward. As someone who really dislikes the typical dealership and sales pressure experience, this was the complete opposite. No back-and-forth games, no pushiness, just honest communication and transparency.
I already know I’ll be buying my next vehicle here, and I’ll absolutely be referring friends as well. Huge thank you to Dan, Nate, and Paul for making this such a smooth and positive experience.
Highly recommend Japanese Classics! Recently bought my JZX100 last week and I’m loving it! Dan made the process very easy-going. We got to take a look around the facility and ooo and ahh at all the other cars. After my first test drive I was sold on my Chaser. He pulled it into the shop and lifted it up to allow me to look underneath the car and inspect myself. Once we did that I noticed a small oil leak at the lower oil pan and wasn’t expecting them to fix it before I bought it! Dan says “Go explore Richmond and give us a couple hours and we will have it fixed up for you before you drive home!”. He even gave us recommendations on where to go. Once I got home I realized I left the title at the dealership (my mistake not his) and he overnighted it to me the next day with tracking. Overall I had a great experience buying my first RHD import vehicle from here. No complaints!
What an amazing experience.
Paul and Mike made the entire process very easy and smooth. From the initial phone call to driving off the Lot.
We love our JDM Prado
We came out of state to pick it up and drove it back to PA. We felt comfortable traveling a long distance thanks to the great condition and service of the car.
Definitely will buy a car again from them
Thank you Paul and the rest of the crew at japanese classics.
