Description

Stock #6938 The Land Cruiser 100 is a stalwart SUV. Enduring harsh climates and terrain, these V8-powered 4x4s scoff at loading groceries at Costco and shuttling the little ones to soccer practice. Exterior Overview The Land Cruiser 100 is a stalwart SUV. Enduring harsh climates and terrain, these V8-powered 4x4s scoff at loading groceries at Costco and shuttling the little ones to and fro from soccer practice. Our 2000 VX Limited model is fresh off a comprehensive service and boasts only 141k verified and documented miles on the clock. Finished in a spiffy Deepwater Black, this lovable Landy is adorned by an OEM spoiler, LED taillights, ICON wheels with brand new 35’s, and OEM rainguards. Aside from a few light imperfections, the paint is in good shape, and this turn-key rig is ready for a fun family outing, wicked weekend vacation, or daily duty on the tarmac. A Japanese Classic to the core, the reliable, refined, and easy-to-service Toyota should be able to handle whatever you throw its way! Interior Overview The cabin is in decent shape and includes loads of power equipment and tons of space. It even has a few upgrades, such as a touchscreen Pioneer headunit with Bluetooth integration for blasting tunes to supplement your road trip. The dashboard is in good shape and lacks any major cracking or distortion. The glovebox is sizable, and the original maintenance booklet is stored snugly inside. The rest of the dash layout is intuitive and features a host of power equipment to make daily use simple. Moving towards the center stack, automatic climate control is standard, and piping hot heat and cold A/C are available year-round to both front and rear passengers. If you prefer more natural ventilation, automatic windows can power down at a moment’s notice, and a massive panoramic moonroof can be unfurled. Power folding mirrors and electric locks are also standard and work like a charm. Even the front seats are heated and power adjustable! The gray cloth seats are in good nick, and the rear bench can flip forward if you need to expand the cargo hold. The material lacks any major rips, stains, or tears, which can be said for the condition of the door cards as well. The headliner is neat and tidy, and the carpets are no worse for the wear. In fact, the only thing we can think of to scrutinize is the power antenna, which no longer deploys, and there are a couple of minor carpet stains under the mats. Save for these blemishes, we think the next owner will be more than pleased with its condition! Even the original plush carpet mats are included with the purchase. Mechanical Overview Just like our American Land Cruisers, this heavyweight is powered by the beloved 2UZ-FE. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the V8 whirrs to life courtesy of a new 12V battery. A new engine air filter and new fuel filter were installed, and we replaced the hood shocks so that future fluid checks would be effortless. Typical of most 2UZ’s, the exhaust manifolds are a bit noisy when cold, but fortunately, that goes away once some heat is in the motor. The DOHC mill is linked to a stout automatic transmission. It shifts properly, and we performed a fluid flush on the gearbox to keep things that way. Power is then fed through a FullTime 4WD transfercase. For off-road excursions, a low range can be engaged, and a center locking differential can be utilized to maximize traction. To benefit the lift kit, new high-angle CV axles were installed to prevent any drivetrain woes down the road. The Cruiser gets moving up to highway speeds without breaking a sweat, and if you need to slow down, new front brake pads and rotors benefit the factory ABS. The power steering is light, yet direct, and this large truck is actually easy to maneuver. The pesky factory height-adjustable suspension was ditched in favor of an upgraded Eibach lift kit, which feels just as comfortable over larger road imperfections. We also rehabbed the suspension with new front lower ball joints and rear upper and lower control arms to help ace its state safety inspection. New inner and outer tie rods were installed alongside new steering rack boots, and after the maintenance was performed, we aligned this rig to factory specs. The new 34″ Toyo rubber quells road noise, looks mean, and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come, and with this full slate of service, the next owner should be set for tens of thousands of miles to come! *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first. CARB certifications will have to be performed within the state. Depending on the vehicle and any existing modifications will affect the pricing. Typically CARB compliance will range between 5-10K.
