I am happy to be writing this review and would definitely recommend William for his services. He helped me import a GTO from Japan and helped me with figuring out what exactly I could expect within my budget. I can say with confidence that I got a sound car as I am writing this review after having driven the car everyday over the entire winter in Edmonton - after doing some basic fluid changes and maintenance and never had any hiccups. Here is some more information about my journey: I was informed about upcoming bids and even advices to stay away from some cars because of rust issues. Before the auction I was shared some auction pictures and William even arranged for some proper pictures from inside and out of the car. Once the bid was won I was asked to make the payment for it and William handled all the paperwork. The best part about this was all I had to do was send William the payment and he took car of all the paperwork and formalities. I will add that the car didn't have the best paint and I was informed about it in advance, and was told that the car is mechanically sound - which after doing some preventative maintenance on it I can confirm. Keep in mind this is a 28 year old car so it wasn't perfect and new. The car did sit for a few months in Japan before getting a spot on a ship to Canada. He also shared the ship/vessel details and handled all customs paperwork and provided me with the export certificate. William also helped me with arranging shipping of the vehicle to Edmonton at a local shop. I would definitely be looking forward to importing more cars through William!

I just recently purchased a 2003 Crown through William over the New Year/Christmas. Even with the busyness over the holidays he got my vehicle to me in very ample time! He was also very patient with me through the process, even answering questions about the vehicles I was looking to buy, not just about the import process itself. All around it was a very comfortable and accommodating experience, the only downside seems to be that William is an elusive man. At times he is hard to reach, though I never had a question go unanswered. This is very easily excused though, as his quality of work speaks for the silence. Much respect for the work you do, I’ll be back!

I recently imported my third vehicle from William, a 2008 Honda Fit. While it did take a little longer due to the shipping delays out of his control, he managed find me a really solid car. The car actually came with a part that was originally advertised as missing, which was a nice treat. I drove this car home 12 hours from Vancouver to Edmonton and it might as well have been a 2024 to me, because it felt so solid. William provides me with a great sense of peace of mind with this process. I would be willing to import the next car I purchase in the future as a return customer. Thank you kindly again

Bought car last April, received in August. Never recieved invoice or receipt for total costs incurred. Car was 34k at auction, 42.5k all in. Car was damaged during ocean shipping, risks were understood. Car was then damaged via land freight to Alberta, contacted company and they said they would look into it for shipping insurance coverage. I never heard back from them about it. It’s almost a year later and I have still not received an invoice for costs paid, the breakdown of the post auction costs have never been disclosed. The amount payable to get the car into Canada clearing customs does not match the customs fees I received via email. I have attempted to contact the company multiple times via multiple methods of communication have been ignored. I highly recommend if you would like to import a vehicle that you take your business elsewhere as I don’t think the money I paid are worth the services rendered. Other reviews have been posted since this one and the owner has responded so it’s a mystery as to why I have never recieved an invoice.

Since the mid-2010’s I’ve imported over 10 vehicles with JDM Connection. Simply put, William is the most knowledgeable, helpful, and trustworthy business owner I’ve dealt with in this industry. Take his advice, ask questions, and you’ll be very pleased with the product you receive. Fantastic cars, from mild to wild.
